迷你雨林蛙 用嘴聽音

〔國際新聞中心／綜合外電報導〕科學家2日指出，印度洋塞席爾群島雨林裡的加氏塞舌蛙（Gardiner’s frog），不用耳朵聽聲音，而是靠嘴巴接收其他青蛙的蛙鳴。一般青蛙的頭部外側有鼓膜，將聲波振動傳入內耳，接著傳至大腦。但身長僅1公分、只有圖釘大小的迷你加氏塞舌蛙雖然沒有鼓膜，卻會回應蛙鳴，原來牠是利用嘴巴充當擴大器，接收其他青蛙發出的聲音。
