日本電機大廠松下(Panasonic)26日宣布，將退出日本境內個人用的智慧型手機市場，包括停止開發個人用智慧型手機的新產品，原本的開發技術等資通訊科技(ICT)相關的經營資源，重新運用於視聽機器事業。松下表示，企業用的智慧型手機及傳統型的個人用功能型手機(feature phone)的事業持續經營。

松下截至2000年為止，在日本手機市場的市占率穩居寶座，但在智慧型手機的事業領域起步晚，公司經營日漸走下波，加上日本最大的電信公司NTT DoCoMo從5月起對索尼(Sony)及南韓三星電子的2個機種採優惠措施，松下的智慧型手機銷售數字下滑。

另外，9月，NTT DoCoMo開始賣美國蘋果公司的iPhone系列智慧型手機，松下的個人用智慧型手機售況雪上加霜。
