Google釋出頻譜資料庫 方便查詢可用頻譜

Google 於 15 日宣布釋出 White Space 頻譜資料庫和 Google Spectrum Database API。

Google 使用電視 White Space 頻譜的資料庫已在 7 月獲美國 FCC 核准作為商業用途。Google 在 15 日宣布推出 Google Spectrum Database API，讓使用者可以更方便探索和利用可用的頻譜。

Google 頻譜資料庫的推出，是為了動態分享電視 White Space 頻譜，開發者和企業只要只要設定商業帳號，並將他們的設備註冊在 Google 資料庫中，就可以在電視 White Space 上運作。

目前已經有 Adaptrum 公司通過認證可以使用 Google 的頻譜資料庫，讓他們可以利用自己的設備，提供公共 Wi-Fi 給 West Virginia 大學的校園使用。Google 希望藉由頻譜資料庫和裝置廠商合作，將寬頻連線推廣到更多未開發地區。
