蘋果公司傳將於 9 月 10 日發表新一代 iPhone

就在三星、索尼相繼宣布 9 月 4 日將於德國 IFA 展前，舉辦全球新品發表會之後。稍早透過 All Things D 的報導指出，蘋果公司將會於 9 月 10 日舉辦「特別的」記者會，由於時間點敏感到與 GALAXY Note III、Xperia i1(甚至還有 HTC MAX)發表時間相近，外電直指新一代 iPhone 將會於當天發表。

蘋果公司今年六月於美國舉辦的 WWDC 全球開發者大會當中，推出了介面簡潔的 iOS 7 作業系統，蘋果執行長 Tim Cook 當時便指出，該作業系統預計於秋天更新，如在搭配 iPhone 產品發表週期，外界直指新一代 iPhone 將於 9 月份發表，但是一直到現在，蘋果公司都未正式公告記者會日期與即將發表的產品。

這次根據 All Things D 的報導指出，蘋果公司預計於 9 月 10 日在一個特殊的發表會當中，發表下一代 iPhone。直接與隸屬 Android 陣營的三星 GALAXY Note II、宏達電 HTC ONE MAX、索尼 XPERIA i1 等手機大廠旗艦新機正面交鋒，時間點相當敏感，很有要穩定其在蘋果迷心中的地位的味道。而 The Verge 則是提到該事件很有可能只發表新一代 iPhone，其他像是新一代 iPad mini、第四代 Retina 產品，則會在另外的時間發表。

蘋果公司這次發表的產品重點不僅在於搭載 iOS 7 的 New iPhone 會有多厲害的效能、設計與功能，外界比較關心的還有中階版本的 iPhone 策略到底將如何執行。不過 All Things D 仍舊有所保留的提到，有關在 9 月 10 日的記者會中，會不會發表 iPhone 這件事，蘋果公司代表拒絕對此發表評論。
