先前傳出將與德國大陸集團 (Continental AG)、IBM攜手打造無人駕駛車系統，目前市場再度傳出Google未來將考慮將無人駕駛車導入計程車服務應用。

根據前華爾街資深記者Amir Efrati引述消息人士說法指出，Google進行正與包含德國大陸集團 (Continental AG)、加拿大Magna International等汽車產業廠商談論合作，未來將攜手合作打造Google先前規劃的無人駕駛車。而在稍早前，IBM也曾傳出與Google談論合作的消息。

目前Google打造旗下無人駕駛車的想法已經曝光許久，同時先前也曾在美國加州及內華達州等地境內進行實際測試，Google共同創辦者暨執行長Larry Page也曾多次談論無人駕駛車是個人對於科技所抱持夢想而打造。

而根據Amir Efrati表示，將無人駕駛車導入計程車服務應用，將會是此項計畫發展目標之一。若未來在此方面發展成功，或許將能看見多數計程車服務將能由科技技術取代，但也有可能因此造成多數計程車駕駛失業現象。
