Google除將推出Google Glass穿戴式裝置外，先前也有消息透露同樣準備推出智慧型手錶產品，在近期傳出將收購WIMM Lab的消息，似乎也進一步證實先前市場傳聞。

根據Giga OM網站所透露消息，目前Google已經收購5年新創公司WIMM Lab，未來可能將藉由旗下技術協助Google開發智慧型手錶裝置。另一方面，在Google進行收購後，原本WIMM Lab團隊將會併入Android團隊。

WIMM Lab是由前Rambus總裁Dave Morring創立，並且以Android作業系統為基礎，針對穿戴式顯示裝置提供開發平台，同時也在2011年間推出開發裝置WIMM One。在稍早市場消息裡，原本傳出將由蘋果方面提出收購，不過後續則是由Google方面於週五證實此項消息。

目前WIMM Lab暫時未對外公布此項消息。
