好奇號找無甲烷 任務恐落空

（法新社華盛頓19日電） 美國國家航空暨太空總署（NASA）報告今天顯示，好奇號太空船在火星大氣中並沒有偵測到甲烷，期待火星生命的天文迷可能要失望了。

科學家過去10年發現，火星大氣中有「縷縷」甲烷氣體，不過這些研究結果都是科學家在地球或透過軌道衛星觀察而得，因此依然有爭議。

不過，科學家如今分析好奇號（Curiosity）設備採集的資料發現，火星大氣層中僅有極其微量甲烷的存在痕跡。

科學家說，好奇號發現顯示，火星大氣層的甲烷濃度，最高不會超過1.3ppb，比先前科學家的預估少了約6倍。

科學家說，火星大氣甲烷濃度極低，也大幅降低火星土壤蘊含生命微生物或有機化石物質的可能性。
