日前針對一般使用者釋出預覽版本的Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7，微軟宣布開放正式版本下載，將能讓Windows 7作業系統使用者一同感受新版Internet Explorer 11效能魅力。

微軟目前宣布開放Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7正式版本下載，同時強調效能約比先前版本提昇30%，並且加入相容更多HTML5技術規範，此外也支援包含WebGL、Mepg Dash等網頁技術，未來將進一步加入WebRTC標準。

而在相同JavaScript執行所需時間，Internet Explorer 11也比其他競爭對手縮減許多。針對Web App應用部分，Internet Explorer 11也整合包含3D渲染技術，讓Web App執行效能變得更高。
