先前AMD曾提出以旗下Elite Performance晶片組構成的DockPort技術，或許接下來將由德州儀器使其發揚光大。

根據德州儀器 (TI,Texas Instruments)稍早公布消息，說明藉由其HD3SS2521控制元件將能簡化原本DockPort技術所需構成的多晶片模組設計，透過單一晶片即可實現所有DockPort技術所提供功能，包含透過裝置單一接孔連接多組螢幕、網路孔、USB孔等。

藉由德州儀器的晶片設計，將能使原本DockPort配件尺寸進一步縮小，更便於攜帶使用，搭配平板裝置或Ultrabook等輕薄筆電，也不用擔心是否因為連接埠種類或數量不足現象。至於電力供應部分，在德州儀器的設計中也加入外接電源供應器插座。
