國立高雄第一科技大學電機工程研究所研發新一代人型機器人，赴馬來西亞參加“2013世界盃機器人競賽”，其中「全能人型機器人盃」項目與來自新加坡、英國等超過40組團隊進行跑步、投籃等8項體能競賽，最終第一科大團隊分別於爬牆及舉重競賽擊敗眾多好手，代表台灣獲得1銀1銅成績。
