除了針對日本市場將稍晚才推出PlayStation 4因素作說明，SCE資深副總暨第一事業部事業部長伊藤雅康也針對PlayStation 4將對應的手勢操作與語音識別功能作進一步解說，並且透露未來將藉由更新加入更多應用功能。

根據Engadget英文主站於東京電玩展與SCE資深副總暨第一事業部事業部長伊藤雅康所做訪談，其中提到PlayStation 4將對應的手勢操作與語音識別功能，伊藤雅康表示使用者將能透過PlayStation 4 Camera內建麥克風進行收音，並且在操作介面中直接以語音命令執行遊戲，不過暫時還未進一步支援在遊戲中透過語音操作，但未來將可能透過更新加入不同應用功能。

至於目前PlayStation 4 Camera已經確定可透過人臉辨識提供臉部登入應用，雖然還無法如同微軟Kinect般直接對應體感操作，但在未來更新內容中並不排除往此方向發展。至於人臉識別是否將能進一步應用在遊戲內容，伊藤雅康也透露未來更新也會考量此方面應用。

就目前來看，PlayStation 4於體感應用部分主要將配合新款PlayStation 4 Camera與DUALSHOCK 4控制器，大致上如同先前釋出「The Playroom」所提到的操作應用。
