在Google提出Chromecast的應用想法後，Mozilla方面似乎也準備提出類似概念想法，讓使用者可透過網路連動方式進行數位內容投放。

根據Engadget英文主站引述Mozilla工程師Mark Finkle於個人Google+所上傳照片，其中顯示Nexus 4透過Android版Firefox開啟頁面，配合某種網路連線方式將內容投放至與Roku機上盒連接的電視螢幕呈現。

目前Mozilla已經證實此項計畫存在，不過暫時未透露具體細節，因此還無法確認此項功能主要透過Wi-Fi Direct進行直接連動，或者類似Google Chromecast配合網路連動，但內容維持從被控制端裝置獨立從網路下載，而非直接將內容串流至裝置上播放。
