Google發展Chrome OS已經有一段時間，在接下來的發展中，似乎準備藉由Windows 8平台特有Metro Style介面設計，進一步讓Chrome OS使用體驗滲透至Windows 8 PC。

根據The Verge網站報導指出，Google在近期針對開發者所釋出測試版Chrome瀏覽器，可在設定以Metro Style形式執行時，直接透過Chrome OS般介面呈現。除了如同Chrome OS介面將Google基本App與執行列放置於左下方，本身亦可以多組視窗執行不同瀏覽內容。

目前還不確定未來Google將在何時釋出此版Chrome for Windows 8正式版本，或許將能以此提高Chrome OS使用模式普及率，並且增加Chrome Web Store使用率。
