在微軟即將釋出Windows 8.1前，Dell宣布更新Inspiron機種產品線，分別推出全新家用高階Inspiron 7000系列、升級處理器規格的Inspiron 5000系列，並且在Inspiron 3000系列加入全新11吋規格。此外，在商用機種Vostro則推出新款Vostro 5470。

Dell宣布將在台灣更新Inspiron機種產品線，分別加入全新家用高階Inspiron 7000系列，並且針對Inspiron 5000系列升級處理器規格，而針對入門款Inspiron 3000系列加入全新11吋規格選項。

新款Inspiron 7000系列改良過去Dell既有厚重面貌，採用鑽石切邊的一體成形鋁合金外殼，打造輕薄易攜的使用特性，同時維持採用高容量鋰電池設計。尺寸部分分別提供14吋與15吋規格，並且提供觸控或非觸控版本選項。

針對現有Inspiron 5000系列，主要將內建處理器規格升級為Haswell平台規格，並且搭載Nvidia GeForce或AMD Radeon HD獨立顯示卡，同樣將提供觸控或非觸控版本。

而在Inpiron 3000系列新加入的11吋規格，則將提供10點觸控機能與長達8.5小時電池續航力。

此外，Dell也宣布將針對時尚紅人機Vostro 5460進行更新，推出搭載Intel第4代Haswell處理器的Vostro 5470，並且搭載指紋辨識器與Nvidia GeForce GT740獨立顯示卡，同時整體重量僅為1.64公斤。

除公布更新Inspiron、Vostro機種產品線消息，Dell也將針對採用Intel Haswell平台處理器的指定款筆電，推出上網登錄即可加贈Dell無線滑鼠活動。
