雖然 iPad Air 在 11 月 1 日才會開賣，不過中國的數字尾巴網站已有開箱文。

iPad Air 即將在 11 月 1 日在第一波國家推出，包含中國和香港，不過中國數字尾巴網站已經拿到黑白雙色的盒裝 iPad Air 並釋出開箱照片。

從數字尾巴的開箱照中，可以看到白+銀和黑+太空灰兩款 iPad Air，並與 iPad mini 和舊款 iPad 比較厚度與顏色差異，不過仍未提供評測數據。

新款 iPad Air 據數字尾巴形容為放大版的 iPad mini，在設計上向 iPad mini 靠攏，而且可以從照片中看出比舊款 iPad 輕薄不少。新款 iPad Air 將一次升上 Apple A7 和 M7 處理器，效能將比 iPad 4 提升不少，不過數字尾巴仍未提供跑分數據。
