在蘋果iPhone 5s上市之後，有使用者傳出電力損耗過快現象，目前蘋果方面也證實確實有此情況，並且強調僅只是少數個案，將會與有此問題的使用者聯繫更換手機事宜。

根據美國《紐約時報》指出，先前有部分使用者反應新款iPhone 5s電力異常耗損，目前蘋果方面也證實確實有此現象，主要可能是在手機生產過程出現瑕疵，並且強調目前僅有少數個案發生，後續將與有此問題的使用者聯繫更換手機事宜。

先前iPhone 5s發表時，由於本身採用64位元A7處理器與M7協作處理器，因此蘋果也因應效能提昇需求而將電池容量予以加大 (iPhone 5s為1560mAh，iPhone 5為1440mAh)，讓影音連續播放或連續電話通訊的電池續航力最高可延長接近11小時左右。

而此次發生的iPhone 5s電力異常損耗現象，目前在台灣地區似乎並未傳出類似災情。
