Altera宣布將與Intel合作14nm 3D Tri-Gate電晶體製程技術，藉此打造首款採用64位元ARM Cortex-A53架構的四核心處理器Stratix 10，並且將以FPGA架構與SoC單晶片設計製作。不過，此款處理器預計將使用於伺服器產品，暫時不會跨入行動裝置市場競爭。

根據Altera所公布新聞稿內容，表示將與Intel合作14nm 3D Tri-Gate電晶體製程技術，藉此打造首款採用64位元ARM Cortex-A53架構的四核心處理器Stratix 10，並且將以FPGA架構與SoC單晶片設計製作。

此款處理器預計將使用於包含運算加速、雷達監測系統或通訊基礎建設等用途，並且可直接於32位元模式運作，並且相容既有對應Cortex-A9架構的作業系統與程式內容，將提供現有解決方案在無需修改或大幅調整下進行升級。

目前Stratix 10將以伺服器等級應用為主，暫時不會跨入行動裝置市場競爭，因此並不會與Qualcomm、三星等廠商競爭 (而就Intel方面，目前行動裝置仍以Bay-Trail平台Atom處理器作為現行主要競爭工具)。
