美發射太空船 探測火星大氣

法新社 – 

（法新社卡納維爾角18日電） 美國國家航空暨太空總署（NASA）今天發射火星大氣與揮發物演化（MAVEN）探測太空船，以研究火星大氣，尋找這枚星球何以逐漸失去溫度與水源的線索。

白色的擎天神5號401火箭（Atlas V 401）載運著這艘太空船，準時在下午1時28分發射升空。

太空總署任務管制中心說：「一切狀況似乎順利。」

太空船預定在2014年9月抵達火星，此次任務與太空總署以往任務不同，不會專注研究火星乾燥的表面，而將研究過去從未觸及的火星上層大氣之謎。
