初步試驗有成 瘧疾疫苗有望

（法新社華盛頓8日電） 研究人員今天表示，12名志願試驗者在施打1種新型瘧疾疫苗後，展現百分百防禦力，這項成果為研發有效瘧疾疫苗帶來希望。

這款名為PfSPZ的實驗性疫苗，內有取自蚊子唾液腺的活體瘧疾寄生蟲，是馬里蘭州公司Sanaria所生產。

這些還沒成熟的寄生蟲為孢子蟲，科學家弱化孢子蟲使其無法致病，再作為疫苗的一部分。之後人體必須接受好幾次注射，每次間隔1個月。

研究發表在「科學」（Science）期刊。

Sanaria執行長霍夫曼（Stephen Hoffman）表示，估計還要4年研究，疫苗才能上市。

目前市面上還沒有有效瘧疾疫苗。根據世界衛生組織（WHO），2010年約有2億2000萬人感染瘧疾，估計造成66萬人喪生，其中大部分死者為非洲兒童。（譯者：中央社陳怡君）
