微軟證實Skype將預載於Windows 8.1

在先前表示Windows 8.1中將會緊密地與Bing搜尋、SkyDrive緊緊整合，微軟目前也宣布Skype同樣也將成為Windows 8.1中不可或缺元素，因此將會在後續更新 (或實體安裝光碟)中直接搭載Skype功能。

如同過去Windows作業系統都會預載MSN (或說Windiws Live Messenger)，微軟在正式宣佈將以Skype作為取代之後，目前也確認將會在即將釋出的Windows 8.1中直接預載Skype功能，藉此讓使用者與Skype有更進一步「黏著」。

就微軟將Skype預載於Windows 8.1，或許將能促使Skype安裝數量明顯提昇，進而帶動Skype服務使用率。不過，最終使用者是否會買單，可能還是要看後續Skype如何更具體在Windows 8.1中整合。
