最古老哺乳類 鼠化石出土

（法新社華盛頓15日電） 中國大陸科學家今天表示，人類所知最古老的現代鼠種化石於大陸出土，甚至可能是最古老的哺乳動物之一。這種老鼠非常敏捷，可攀爬、挖洞，且幾乎什麼都能吃。

鼠化石出土 堪稱最古老哺乳類

根據美國「科學雜誌」（Science），科學家將這種在侏儸紀時代髫髻山組發現的物種命名為Rugosodoneurasiaticus，以拉丁文代表這種齧齒動物的牙齒凹凸不平，且棲息範圍廣泛。

牠們的踝關節活動靈活，可爬上樹木；尖銳的牙齒則讓牠們可葷可素。

北京中國地質科學院研究人員袁崇喜說，新發現讓這種類似老鼠的多峰齒類（Multituberculates）齧齒動物成為史上最古老的哺乳動物之一。

這種老鼠據信源於1億6000萬年前的侏羅紀，牠們在恐龍時代存活了大約1億年，直至現代齧齒動物取而代之。（譯者：中央社張詠晴）
