天鵝座太空船 重返大氣層

美國國家航空暨太空總署(NASA)21日發表聲明說，無人貨運太空船「天鵝座」(Cygnus)，正準備在22日凌晨離開國際太空站(ISS)，並且重新進入地球大氣層。

聲明指出，由天體軌道科學公司(Orbital Sciences)打造的「天鵝座」太空船，預定在格林威治時間22日10點零分(台灣時間下午6點)，和在軌道上運行的研究前哨站分開，並且在一個半鐘頭後離開ISS。工程師們接著將會採行一連串預定步驟，以推動「天鵝座」重新進入大氣層。

天體軌道科學公司表示，「天鵝座」預定在23日重新進入大氣層，並在格林威治時間18點18分(台灣時間24日凌晨2點18分)落在紐西蘭東方的太平洋上。

「天鵝座」是在9月18日發射升空進行示範任務，用意是要證明它能成功運送貨物到太空站，這是第四度由民間公司負責運送補給前往ISS。
