在此次針對Google Play服務更新中，除了說明將整合Google Play Games服務外，Google也將跟進蘋果腳步，在Google Play中增加教科書購買或租借服務，同時將同時對應Android、iOS與Web三種平台。

如同先前在Google I/O 2013期間透露將進軍教育市場，並且預計在Google Play中規劃教育市場適用內容專區，在此次發表Android 4.3內容的同時，也具體宣布推出教科書數位內容購買或租借服務，最多約可租借半年時間，至於價格部分則將提供適合學生族群的優惠價位。

而在教科書內容部分，將與PEARSON、McGraw Hill、WILEY、macmillan等出版商合作。至於實際推出此項服務地區與價格區間目前暫時還沒有細節透露，不過未來將同時對應Android、iOS與Web平台使用。
