在近期更新中，Google Maps加入日前收購Waze技術，讓使用者能透過Google Maps服務即時確認路況與交通流量。此外，在日前更新中一度消失的「衣夾人 (Pegman)」，在此次更新也確定回歸，使用者可直接"抓取"衣夾人丟至地圖進入街景瀏覽模式。

Google宣布更新桌機版Google Maps服務，讓先前一度消失的「衣夾人 (Pegman)」再度回歸，使用者將能直接"抓取"衣夾人丟至地圖進入街景瀏覽模式。此外，Google也針對Gogole Maps街景模式提昇圖像渲染效果，將使整體瀏覽效率提昇許多，並且強化3D立體模型顯示效果。

而針對先前收購的Waze，Google將整合其即時交通路況、流量監控資料，使用者可透過Google Maps服務即時確認各道路交通流量情形，藉此判斷是否避開車潮或改變行徑路線等。如同先前介紹，透過Waze即時統計數據，將能透過綠、黃、紅等顏色區隔當下的道路交通流量。
