針對旗下物聯網發展解決方案，ARM宣布收購物聯網軟體技術供應商Sensinode Oy，未來將藉其技術資源提供Sensinode NanoStack與NanoService等商用產品，進而帶動無線感測器、智慧聯網應用、家庭保健應用及穿戴式裝置等物聯網發展。

ARM表示將收購物聯網軟體技術供應商Sensinode Oy，並且持續商用Sensinode技術發展，藉此協助開發人員透過ARM mbed專案快速開發物聯網相關設計與應用。同時，ARM也估計2020年將有超過300億台連網設備產生，其中將包含電信網路 (cellular連接、全新OMA羽量級M2M (Machine-to-Machine)設備管理標準應用設備，以及包含各類無線感測器、智慧聯網應用、家庭保健應用，以及即將興起的穿戴式裝置。

Sensinode Oy先前除協助制定6LoWPAN與CoAP等低成本、低功耗設備標準，同時也曾協助制定IETF、ZigBee IP、ETSI與OMA標準化規格。在由ARM收購後，將維持提供

Sensinode NanoStack與NanoService商用產品，並且藉由ARM mbed專案加速普及相關開放標準，包括微控制器、無線電、電腦週邊設備、中介軟體及雲端支援和服務，均能藉由Sensinode技術協助開發支援此類開放標準的物聯網應用。
