第二代Kinect最佳使用距離為1.4公尺

微軟先前透露第二代Kinect使用鏡頭廣度將增加，目前似乎也有疑似為官方說明文件，顯示新款Kinect最佳使用距離將可縮減至1.4公尺。此外，文件中也再次說明Xbox One避免以直立方式擺放。

根據NeoGAF網站引述一份疑似為Xbox One說明文件內容，其中顯示第二代Kinect建議使用距離為1.4公尺，同時最低需置放於60公分位置，或是最高180公分處。跟第一代Kinect建議使用距離為1.8公尺到2.4公尺左右比較，第二代Kinect顯然可以在較近的距離內遊玩使用，應該與先前透露將使用廣度增加的新款鏡頭有關。

而先前微軟也曾說明新款Xbox One由於採用吸入式光碟機，因此建議玩家盡量以平躺方式放置主機，而避免以直立方式放置，主要希望避免因垂直擺放而影響光碟讀取功能。不過，就微軟的說法似乎無法讓一般玩家接受，畢竟競爭對手PlayStation 3採用吸入式光碟機已經有一段時間，卻並未特別要求玩家避免將主機直立擺放。
