針對即將公布的Android 4.4「KitKat」，近期傳聞透露Google有意將電視平台整合功能加入，似乎也呼應先前Google TV品牌名稱改為Android TV的說法。

根據南韓ETNews引述消息來源說法，指Google內部人員透露下一款Android作業系統將整合電視平台應用功能，顯示新版Android 4.4中將加入電視應用介面。而這樣的傳聞，似乎也恰好呼應近期Google TV品牌名稱將改為Android TV的說法。

就先前傳聞，Android 4.4將會有諸多內容改變，其中除將調整基本配色、電話撥號介面等，也準備整合Google雲端列印功能。

而就Google TV本身基礎也是源自Android平台架構，或許未來將兩項作業系統功能整合，也有助於Google於不同裝置市場拓展。特別是目前各家廠商競爭的智慧電視市場，透過Android平台裝置之間整合互動，加上現有App數量應用，將能讓Google在智慧電視市場取得不少使用市佔。

至於目前Android 4.4實際發表時間，近期傳聞將在10月28日前後，不過Google方面暫時還沒有進一步確認消息。除了Android 4.4，估計也將公布由LG代工的Nexus 5。而傳聞中的第二代Nexus 10，目前仍無法確認是否為華碩代工，或者維持由三星代工製作。
