先前證實將投資Recon Instruments研發穿戴式裝置產品消息，Intel在第14屆Intel投資全球高峰會宣布將投入美金6500萬元，預計推動包含台灣嘉基科技在內16項新投資案，同時亞洲地區也有7家企業獲得投資。

Intel在第14屆Intel投資全球高峰會宣布，將投入美金6500萬元推動包含台灣嘉基科技在內16項新投資案，同時亞洲地區也有7家企業獲得投資。此次投資企業廠商分別如下：

‧生產高速互連科技產品的嘉基科技(台灣)；
‧雲端諮詢公司CloudFX (新加坡)；
‧雲端儲存軟體供應商Cloudian (日本/美國)；
‧社群網站與服務平台CSDN (中國)；
‧雲端檔案服務Fileforce (日本)；
‧企業業務持續與災難復原平台Perpetuuiti TechnoSoft Services (新加坡/印度)；
‧汽車租賃公司Savaari Car Rentals (印度)。

而在Intel其他投資項目部分，也包含美國3D軟體開發商DotProduct；以色列的互動影音平台Interlude；法國與美國皆有營運中心的行動新聞服務供應商Mobiles Republic；美國的商品視覺設計與分析解決方案Prism Skylabs；以色列的混合儲存產品供應商Reduxio Systems；以色列的晶片模擬加速方案廠商Rocketick；美國的半導體材料開發商SBA Materials；芬蘭的開放原始碼資料庫解決方案SkySQL；以及美國的無線電力供應商WiTricity。每項投資案如投資金額等詳細訊息，目前皆均未對外公開。

Intel從1999年開始投資台灣傑出企業，目前已經在台投資40多家企業，總計投資超過美金2.6億元。
