研究：澳洲尤加利樹藏黃金

報告：澳洲尤加利樹藏黃金（法新社雪梨23日電） 澳洲尤加利樹樹葉不僅是無尾熊的糧食來源，現在可能成為淘金客尋找地底金礦的重要指標，因為澳洲研究人員發現尤加利樹葉內隱含黃金微粒。

澳洲聯邦科學與工業研究組織（CSIRO）科學家在西澳省礦產豐富的卡谷力（Kalgoorlie）地區獲得這項重大發現。西澳省礦產區1800年代晚期曾掀淘金熱潮。

地球化學家林登（Mel Lintern）說，這些樹木似乎經由根部由地底30公尺處吸收微量金礦。

他說：「尤加利樹有如一個液壓泵浦，根部可以深入地底數十公尺，吸收含有金粒子的水分。」

他說：「由於金粒子對尤加利樹來說可能具毒性，於是金粒子移往樹葉和樹枝部分，以利排除或流到地面上。」
